Making AI Understandable.

Scott Shaper, owner and co-founder of Shaper Enterprises, brings a technical perspective to the rapidly changing world of artificial intelligence. Alongside his wife, Karen, he helps organizations understand what AI can do, how to use it effectively, and where human judgment remains essential.

Scott is a full-time faculty member in Computer Science at Washtenaw Community College, where he teaches programming and has also served as Department Chair of Computer Science and Information Technology. He holds a master's degree from Boston University. His work focuses on programming, technology, and the practical integration of artificial intelligence into education.

Scott brings his experience in computer science, programming, education, and artificial intelligence to the questions organizations are asking today: How can we use AI effectively? How do we know when to trust it? What should we automate? And, as technology becomes more capable, what remains uniquely human?

Scott takes the intimidation out of AI. He explains what it is, what it can do, where it can go wrong, and how to use it in practical, meaningful ways — so you can save time and work more effectively.

Karen Shaper, owner and co-founder of Shaper Enterprises, has spent years helping individuals and businesses find their voice and purpose. Alongside her husband, she founded Shaper Enterprises, which has been thriving ever since.

With a master's degree in communication, Karen is a faculty member at the University of Michigan, Eastern Michigan University, and Washtenaw Community College, where she teaches courses in communication. As a former Toastmasters member, she has earned numerous awards for her public speaking excellence. Karen is also the author of the beloved children's book "My Cave City Adventures,” which tells the story of a city boy learning resilience and leadership during a summer on the farm.

Karen brings years of experience in communication, education, leadership and healthcare to the questions AI can't answer: How do we build trust? How do we lead through change? And what makes human contribution truly valuable?
